Troubled Space ~ The Interstellar Adventures of an Unknown Indie Writer

After a prolonged delay to allow editors and agents to properly ignore the manuscript, the first ebook and paperback editions of this lighthearted space opera will be released on Friday, 15 May, 2020.

TS ebook cover 2020aTed Lester writes stories no one reads. Agents reject him. Editors ignore him. Frustrated, he self-publishes, hoping the world will find value in his books. Then, early one morning, as he is yet again attempting to compose prose that might attract the attention of…well, anyone, something remarkable happens. He gets an unexpected visit from an agent, but not one he has ever queried. This agent is from outer space, and it tells Ted that one of his books has become popular throughout the galaxy, and that he, as the author, can have everything he ever wanted: fame, fortune, and above all, fans. All Ted has to do is agree to go on an interstellar book tour.

Unfortunately, not all his galactic readers are admirers. Some want to kill him.

Three people posted 5-star reviews of An Android Dog’s Tale on Amazon.com on 18 August. That’s a new record for a single day. Thanks!

A Tale of Tails August 18, 2017
Wonderful sci fi tale told from the perspective of the android dog. More puns than you can shake a stick at, and plenty of insights and opinions from the author/narrator. Stuff like this, “Humans don’t seem to be happy unless they have something to be dissatisfied with. They seem to like to complain, in any case.” To me, Science Fiction takes me from the known to the unknown, but probable future, and the world/universe created by DL Morrese does just that.
New! Doris Mitchell reviewed An Android Dog’s Tale: A Sci-Fi Counter-Fantasy Novel
Enjoyable book with interesting premise and points of view. August 18, 2017
I enjoyed the android dog’s point of view and his sense of humor. The book is a gentle satire of the human species, but also an affecting story about androids contemplating free choice. Although part of a series, the story is self-contained. I was so touched by the ending, though, that I immediately bought the next 3 books in the series to see what happens on this planet.

Worthy read August 18, 2017
Often comical, highly satirical.
Worth reading. Many of the authors opinions hit home. Quite good. Hope to read more of this author in the future

Brane Space Pirates May 15, 2017

Loved this sci file story! Having read some other Author Morrese other books, was anxious to read Pirates. A BIT technical, but maybe learned something. Also a bit Star Trek oriented, lmaking it even more interesting. 🙂 Will not disappoint! ❤

Aweedram reviewed Brane Child: A Science Fiction Counter-Fantasy (Adventures of the Brane Child Book 1)

Clever Title May 14, 2017

An enjoyable novel, it is not very complex and is best suited for young adults. However, I would still recommend Morrese’s work for light reading. Since the main character is a young woman who learns to expand her world-view, it might be a very good entry for young women into sci-fi.

A Free Book for Towel Day

Posted by Dave on May 24, 2016
Posted in: Uncategorized. Tagged: Free Kindle book, Sci-Fi, Towel Day 2016, Warden books.

DefyingFateCoverRev15May 25th is Towel Day, the annual commemoration of the life and work of the late, great Douglas Adams and especially his enduring highlight of comic science fiction, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It is a unique book, both absurd and insightful, which has endured as a cult classic since its original publication in 1979.

Adams’ books helped inspire D.L. Morrese to pursue writing, so in celebration of Towel Day, we’re making digital editions of Defying Fate, which includes both The Warden Threat and The Warden War free on Amazon. This promotion will run from Wednesday May 25th 2016 through Friday May 27th.
